The last time that an all female crew entered the Volvo Ocean Race (toughest fully crewed race around the world) was over a decade ago. Since then this ocean marathon has become more physical, more intense and raced at a faster pace.
It was a tense time for the short listed sailors who were in the Canary Islands this Spring, after the four months of training it was time to find out who had made to cut and would be named as the first five crew members of Team SCA’s round the world race team and who would not.
