Shirley takes the helm of BMW ORACLE Racings 90 foot multihull. The American challenger, representing the Golden Gate Yacht Club, won the 33rd America’s Cup Match in February 2010.
Shirley skippered Rumbo Almeria Extreme40 in the Extreme Sailing Series Asia, competing against 6 other teams and visiting Hong Kong, Singapore & Oman.
Shirley skippered Team iShares Extreme40 in the 2009 iShares Cup, competing against 9 other teams and visiting 6 countries across Europe in this fast and furious unique inshore racing circuit.
Shirley skippered J.P.Morgan Asset Management Extreme40 in the iShares Cup 2008, competing against 9 other teams and visiting 5 countries across Europe.
Shirley is a patron of the the Ellen MacArthur Trust and is actively involved whenever she can both sailing with the young people and promoting the work of the Trust.
Sarah Webb, Shirley Robertson, & Sarah Ayton took Gold at the Athens Olympics in the Yngling class. This was Shirleys 2nd consecutive Olympic Gold making her one of Britain and Scotland’s greatest ever Olympians.
